Cristian Cardenas ID’d as 25-Year-Old Madera Man Killed in Avenue 7 Crash
Madera, California (June 20, 2019) – The man who was killed Friday evening in a traffic accident at an intersection in Madera has been identified ad Cristian Cardenas, 25, of Madera, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The deadly wreck happened at about 6:45 p.m. Friday, June 14 at the intersection of Avenue 7 and Road 24.
CHP said Cardenas was driving a Chevrolet Malibu northbound on Road 24 at a speed ranging between 70 and 90 miles per hour when he ran a red light at Avenue 7 and collided with a semi-truck operated by Javier Sanchez, 46, of Dinuba, who was traveling at a speed of 55 mph.

The Chevrolet crashed into the third axle of the truck and the Chevrolet slid under the trailer.
Cardenas was pronounced at the scene.
Sanchez was not harmed by the crash.
Alcohol or drugs were considered factors in the accident.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
