Ramona, CA: Fatal Head-On Crash on Mussey Grade Road
2 Killed, 1 Injured in Ramona Car Accident on Mussey Grade Road near Mahogany Ranch Road
Ramona, California (June 10, 2020) – Two people were killed and one other injured in a head-on car crash on Wednesday afternoon in Fernbrook, Ramona, according to police.
The crash happened at about 12:15 p.m., on Mussey Grade Road, south of Mahogany Ranch Road.
A 2016 Ford Focus was traveling northbound on Mussey Grade Road when for unknown reasons, it drifted into the southbound lane and crashed head-on into an oncoming 2017 Subaru Impreza, the California Highway Patrol said.
Fatal 2-Car Crash on Mussey Grade Road in Ramona
The Ford driver, a 56-year-old Fallbrook woman, and a passenger in the Subaru succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
The Subaru driver sustained major trauma and was transported to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
