2 Killed and 5 injured in Chico Car Accident on Highway 99 at Neal Road

Chico, California (June 10, 2020) – Two people were killed in a fiery multi-vehicle collision that left at least five people injured in Chico on Wednesday afternoon.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident happened at about 12:47 p.m. June 10, on Highway 99 at Neal Road.
The authorities said at least five vehicles including a semi-truck were involved in the collision. A vehicle caught fire after the collision.
Fatal Crash Closes Highway 99 in Chico
The CHP confirmed that two people were killed in the collision. Their identities were not immediately disclosed.
Five other people were injured and were transported to the hospital for treatment.
Both directions of Highway of 99 between Southgate Lane and Durham Pentz Road.
No additional information was provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
