Cambria, California (January 7, 2020) – Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident on Monday morning in Cambria, according to a local news source.
The incident took place at about 9:35 a.m. January 6, on Weymouth Street and Highway 1.
According to the report, Jeffrey LaChance, 63, was driving westbound on Weymouth Street in a Ford van when he stopped for a stop sign at Highway 1. He then pulled out in front of a delivery truck traveling southbound on Highway 1. The delivery truck crashed into the side of the van.
The impact caused the van to overturn and struck a power pole.

LaChance had to be rescued from his vehicle by emergency crews. He was transported to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center for treatment of moderate-to-major injuries.
The driver of the truck, Rafael Garcia, 35, went to Twin Cities Community Hospital with minor injuries.
CHP said alcohol and drugs do not appear to be factors in the crash.
The incident is under investigation.
