Porter Ranch, California (June 5, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a multi-vehicle collision that happened Saturday morning in Porter Ranch, resulting in major injuries.

The pileup was reported at around 9:34 a.m. on westbound Highway 118 near Reseda Boulevard.

CHP said three vehicles, including a black Mercedes Benz, collided under unclear circumstances.

Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene to find at least one person with severe injuries.

The Nos. 1, 2 and HOV lanes remained closed for an unknown period following the incident.
