West Covina, California (October 13, 2019) – Two adults were killed and a child injured when a suspect fleeing from the authorities slammed into their vehicle early Saturday morning in West Covina.

According to the Authorities, the wreck happened at about 2 a.m. October 12, in the area of Cameron and Glendora avenues.

The report indicates that a carjacking incident was reported at around 9 p.m. Friday in the 15000 block of Badillo Street in Baldwin Park. The suspect, fleeing in a stolen 2010 Jeep Patriot, drove into West Covina and was spotted by West Covina police, who began a pursuit after the suspect failed to stop for them.

The suspect was traveling northbound on Glendora Avenue and crashed into an eastbound vehicle at the intersection of Cameron Avenue, ejecting two adults from that vehicle.

2 Killed in West Covina Crash Saturday

A man in the eastbound vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene. A woman in the same vehicle was transported to a hospital, where she was pronounced deceased. A child was also taken to the hospital and there was no update on their condition.

The suspect was taken to a hospital for treatment and later arrested.

The CHP is investigating the crash.
