Pedestrian Hurt, Driver Gives False Information after Pleasanton Crash on Johnson Drive and Tom Burnett Lane
Pleasanton, California (January 4, 2019) – Police are searching for a driver who gave false information after hitting and injuring a pedestrian last month in Pleasanton.
The crash happened at Johnson Drive and Tom Burnett Lane at about 8:30 a.m. December 21.
Police said a pickup truck was traveling south on Johnson Drive when the driver turned left onto Tom Burnett Lane and hit a pedestrian in the crosswalk.
The victim was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said the driver remained at the scene but gave the investigators information that was later found to be false. The investigators have now obtained a surveillance video from a nearby business that captured the crash.
The suspect was described as a white male in his 30s, about 6 feet tall and 200 pounds . He was wearing dark-colored pants and a blue jacket and had medium-length dark hair.
