Minor Injuries Sustained in Pittsburg Car Crash on Highway 4 near Railroad Avenue On-Ramp
Pittsburg, California (February 1, 2021) – Minor injuries were sustained in a Sunday afternoon fiery car accident that happened on Highway 4 in Pittsburg, the California Highway Patrol reported.
Two vehicles collided at about 5:21 p.m. in the eastbound lanes, just west of Railroad Avenue on-ramp.
Authorities said they received a call from a party reporting that one of the cars had smoke coming from under the engine.
A driver of one of the vehicles was trapped inside, but passersby were able to pull the party out. The victim appeared unconscious.
Responding authorities said at least one person suffered minor injuries. An ambulance was requested to provide medical aid.
CHP is investigating the incident.
