1 Killed, 2 Injured in Pittsburg Rollover Collision at Railroad Avenue and Buchanan Road
Pittsburg, California (July 22, 2020) – One person died, and two others were injured following a two-vehicle crash in Pittsburg Tuesday morning, a local news source reported.
The fatal accident was reported at about 9:20 a.m. at Railroad Avenue and Buchanan Road.
As per the report, a vehicle moving north on Railroad Avenue collided with another car that was traveling eastbound on Buchanan Road for reasons still under investigation.
Due to the impact, one of the involved automobiles overturned.
Fatal Pittsburg Collision at Railroad Avenue and Buchanan Road
A driver and a passenger riding in the northbound vehicle sustained life-threatening injuries and were rushed to the hospital for treatment. The motorist was later pronounced deceased while undergoing treatment.
An operator of the eastbound automobile was hospitalized with minor injuries sustained in the mishap.
The wreck resulted in the closure of the highway as investigation and clean-up took place.
The fatal accident remains under an active investigation.
