1 Killed, 5 Injured in Piru Crash on Highway 126 near Center Street

Piru, California (April 26, 2019) – One person was killed and five others injured after a multi-vehicle collision Thursday afternoon in Piru, according to a local news source.
The crash was reported at around 5:08 p. m. Thursday, April 25, on eastbound Highway 126 (also known as East Telegraph Road), near Center Street.
As per the report, a white sedan, a Ford Ranger and an SUV crashed for reasons yet to be determined.

The impact caused one of the cars to overturn trapping two people inside.
Responding firefighters extricated the two persons. One of the victims was declared dead at the scene while the other was airlifted to the hospital for treatment of severe injuries.
Three other persons injured in the crash were transported to the hospital by ground ambulance with moderate to major injuries.
The names of the crash victims were not immediately available.
Officials shut down eastbound lanes of the highway at Torrey Road following the crash.
No additional details concerning this incident were provided.
