Major Injuries Sustained in Pinole Multi-Car Crash on Interstate 80 near Pinole Valley Road On-Ramp
Pinole, California (January 14, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a major injury multi-vehicle collision that happened Thursday afternoon on Interstate 80 in Pinole.
Four vehicles collided at about 2:35 p.m. in the eastbound lanes, just east of Pinole Valley Road on-ramp.
The report did not mention how the collision happened or factors that may have contributed to it.
Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene to help an unknown number of parties who suffered major injuries in the accident.
The eastbound traffic lanes were blocked for an unknown period following the crash.
