Boy Killed in Pico Rivera Pedestrian Accident at Paramount Boulevard and Slauson Avenue
Pico Rivera, California (January 11, 2020) – A boy died after being hit by a car in Pico Rivera on Friday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident happened at the intersection of Paramount Boulevard and Slauson Avenue at about 3 p.m. January 10.
The authorities said a 15-year-old boy and three other pedestrians were running across the intersection when the boy was hit by a truck that was traveling southbound.
Man Arrested after Pedestrian Killed in Pico Rivera Hit-and-Run
The boy sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a local hospital. Sadly, the unidentified boy died while undergoing treatment, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The motorist fled the scene after the accident.
The Whittier Police Department’s officers later located the involved vehicle and arrested a person of interest.
No other information about the accident was provided.
The authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
