Man Killed in Pico Rivera Train Crash at Rex Road and Paramount Boulevard

Pico Rivera, California (October 19, 2019) – A man was hit and killed by an Amtrak train on Friday morning in Pico Rivera, according to officials.
The incident took place at about 8:55 a.m. October 18 at Rex Road and Paramount Boulevard.
Authorities said a pedestrian was on the tracks for unknown reasons when he was hit by Amtrak Pacific Surfliner train 763 that was traveling from San Diego to San Luis Obispo.
Man Killed in Pico Rivera Train Crash
The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
There 295 passengers on board the train at the time of the crash. None of the train’s occupants was injured.
The train was delayed for over three hours as the scene was examined.
The authorities are conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the crash.
