Phoebe Smith and Lorraine Pulido Injured in Willits Car Crash on Highway 101 near Ryan Creek Road
Willits, California (April 23, 2021) – Two people were seriously injured in a head-on collision that happened in Willits in Mendocino County on Tuesday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Highway 101 near Ryan Creek Road at about 5:04 p.m. April 20.
Phoebe Smith was driving a 2012 Honda Accord northbound on Highway 101 when she lost control and drifted into the southbound lanes.
The Honda then collided with a southbound 2019 Chevrolet Colorado driven by Lorraine Pulido.
Both Pulido and Smith were seriously injured in the accident and were transported to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for treatment.
A child in one of the vehicles was also injured in the accident and was transported to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for treatment in an unknown condition.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
The CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
