Petaluma, California (June 8, 2021) – A pedestrian accident that happened in Petaluma Monday morning injured two female parties.

The traffic crash was reported at approximately 11:40 a.m. on Sonoma Mountain Parkway near Ely Road.

The two women were hit by a southbound vehicle while they were in a crosswalk on Sonoma Mountain Parkway in the morning hours.

The involved driver reportedly made a turn east onto Sonoma Mountain before striking the pedestrians.

Petaluma Pedestrians Accident

One of the females sustained minor injuries in the accident. The other victim was rushed to the Petaluma Valley Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries

The collision resulted in the closure of a portion of Sonoma Mountain Parkway for unknown time.

The crash remains under investigation.
