La Mesa, California (June 8, 2021) – The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Bureau has identified the motorcyclist who died Wednesday night in a collision with an SUV at an intersection in La Mesa as Jeffrey Edward Roach, 30, of Corona.

The deadly accident occurred at around 8:18 p.m. Wednesday, June 2, at the intersection of Dallas Street and Fletcher Parkway.

According to the authorities, Roach was riding his motorcycle northbound on Fletcher Parkway when he collided with a Toyota SUV that was turning right onto Fletcher Parkway.

Roach was thrown off the bike upon the impact.

Roach was taken to Sharp Memorial Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries despite life-saving measures performed by the medical personnel.

The 18-year-old woman driving the SUV was not injured and was not suspected of being impaired at the time of the accident.

Traffic on the roadway was stopped for an unknown period due to the accident.
