Perris, California (June 21, 2021) – A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle Monday morning at an intersection in Perris, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

The deadly pedestrian accident happened at around 11:04 a.m. at the intersection of Rider Street and Redlands Avenue.

Arriving officers determined that a blue 2003 Honda CR hit the pedestrian for an unknown reason at the Perris intersection.

Fatal Pedestrian Accident in Perris

Despite life-saving efforts performed by responding medical personnel, the pedestrian, only identified as female victim, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not been disclosed pending notification of next of kin.

The Honda CRV driver, who was not injured, stopped at the scene and cooperated with the authorities. It is undetermined whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision.
