Perris, California (December 2, 2020) – A female pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle Monday afternoon at an intersection in Perris, according to a press release by the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner’s office.

The deadly accident, which was reported at around 1:36 p.m. Monday, November 30, happened in the area of Alderwood Way and Mariposa Way.

Authorities said the woman was struck by a green 1994 Oldsmobile Bravada at the intersection of Alderwood Way and Mariposa Way.

Fatal Pedestrian Accident at Alderwood Way and Mariposa Way in Perris

Emergency crews responded to the scene and performed CPR on the pedestrian. Despite life-saving measures, the woman did not survive her injuries and was declared dead at the scene. Her name was withheld pending notification of family.

The involved driver stopped at the scene and cooperated with the police. That motorist was taken to the Perris Sheriff Station for questioning.

It is undermined whether alcohol or drugs were a factor in the accident.
