Michael Mejia Sr. ID’d as Man Killed in Ontario Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 10 near N Etiwanda Avenue
Ontario, California (December 2, 2020) – The San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner has released the name of the pedestrian who was struck and killed by a semi-truck early Tuesday morning in Ontario.
Michael Mejia Sr., 59, of Gardena, died in the crash that happened at around 5:22 a.m. Tuesday, December 1 on Interstate 10, just west of N Etiwanda Avenue.
As per the release, Mejia Sr. was hit by a big rig that was traveling westbound on Interstate 10.
Deadly Pedestrian Crash on Interstate 10 in Ontario
Paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced Mejia Sr. dead at the scene at around 5:43 a.m.
No further details regarding the deadly crash were immediately provided.
The crash remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
