Man Killed in Bakersfield Accident on Golden State Highway
Bakersfield, California (June 3, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian that occurred in Bakersfield on Thursday morning.
CHP said a man was walking his dog on northbound Golden State Highway when they were struck by a vehicle.
The accident happened at about 6:12 a.m.

The man was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
The involved driver reportedly left the scene before the authorities arrived.
Authorities said there was no description of the suspect vehicle.
CHP-Bakersfield is investigating the incident.
