1 Sustains Major Injuries in Patterson Car Crash on 5 Freeway near Fink Road Off-Ramp

Patterson, California (April 22, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a Wednesday night Patterson crash that happened on 5 Freeway, leaving one person with severe injuries.
The two-vehicle crash happened at around 10:49 p.m. in the northbound lanes, just south of Fink Road off-ramp.
One of the vehicles went about 50 feet off the roadway and down an embankment. The other car was blocking traffic lanes after the crash.
Firefighters responded to the scene and shut down both northbound lanes.
The report said one person suffered major injuries in the collision. An ambulance was requested to the scene to take the victim to the hospital.
The crash remains under active investigation by CHP.
