Patrick McHaley ID’d as Man Killed in Modesto Pedestrian Accident on L Street near 8th Street
Modesto, California (September 4, 2020) – The man who died after being struck by a hit-and-run driver Tuesday night in Modesto has been identified as Patrick McHaley, 42, of Modesto.
The deadly pedestrian accident happened on L Street near 8th Street on Tuesday, September 1.
Authorities said McHaley was attempting to cross L Street near 8th Street when he was hit by a pickup truck that was heading westbound.

McHaley died in the crash.
The driver of the vehicle involved fled the scene but was later arrested. The suspect, identified as Paul Muratore, 67, was booked into jail on charges including vehicular homicide and felony hit-and-run.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
