Several Injured in Paso Robles Multi-Vehicle Crash on Highway 101 near 24th Street
Paso Robles, California (April 19, 2019) – Several people were injured in a multi-vehicle pile-up that occurred in Paso Robles on Thursday afternoon, according to the CHP.
The collision happened just before 12:45 p.m. April 18, on Highway 101 south of 24th Street.
CHP said four vehicles were involved. A dump truck driven by a 44-year-old Bradley man was northbound on Highway 101 when he failed to slow down for traffic in a construction zone and slammed into the rear of a Chevy Malibu.
The Chevy, driven by a Chula Vista driver, was pushed into the back of a Honda Odyssey operated by a man from Yorba Linda.The impact pushed the Honda off the side, where it struck an oak tree.
The Chevy went ahead and crashed into the rear of a CR-V.
Several Injured in Paso Robles Multi-Vehicle Crash
The Chevy driver sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center. There were other several people taken to hospitals for treatment of minor injuries.
Drugs and alcohol were not suspected to be factors in the collision.
The CHP is investigating the crash.
