Palmdale, CA: Major Injury Car Crash on Angeles Forest Highway
At Least 1 Seriously Injured in Palmdale Car Accident on Angeles Forest Highway
Palmdale, California (August 8, 2020) – At least one person sustained serious injuries following a traffic accident that happened Saturday evening in the Angeles Forest in Palmdale, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The collision occurred at around 5:25 p.m. on the Angeles Forest Highway at mile marker 19.
According to the CHP, a vehicle was traveling on the Angeles Forest Highway when, for unknown reasons, it veered off the roadway and rolled over.
The vehicle was found about 425 feet down the hillside.
Palmdale Car Crash on Angeles Forest Highway
The CHP said one person was airlifted to Huntington Memorial hospital with major injuries. The name and condition of the victim were not immediately diclosed.
Authorities closed both lanes of the Angeles Forest Highway while they investigated the accident. As of 7:10 p.m., the roadway was reopened.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
