At Least 1 Killed after Palmdale Crash on 55th Street and Pearblossom Highway
Palmdale, California (July 23, 2019) – At least one person was killed after a big rig collision Tuesday morning in the area of Palmdale, according to a local news source.
The crash was reported at around 7:08 a.m. Tuesday, on 55th Street at Pearblossom Highway (SR-122).
As per the report, a car and a semi-truck crashed for reasons still under investigation. The impact ejected one person from the vehicle. The vehicle was fully engulfed in flames following the crash.
A SigAlert was issued at around 7:33 a.m. closing down Pearblossom in both directions from the street, in front of Four Points Liquor and Market to 75th Street East.
Authorities said at least one person was killed in the crash. The name of the victim was not immediately released awaiting notification of next of kin.
It remains unclear if other persons were injured in the crash.
An investigation is underway.
