2 Killed after Greenfield Crash on Highway 101 near Hudson Road

Greenfield, California (July 23, 2019) – Two people were killed after a multi-vehicle crash Sunday evening in the area of Greenfield, according to a local news source.
The crash happened at an unspecified time Sunday, July 21, on Highway 101, north of Hudson Road.
As per the report, a Honda Odyssey drove southbound in the northbound lane of the highway for unknown reasons when it collided head-on with a northbound Nissan Rogue. The impact caused the Honda to hit a Ford Fusion. A Nissan then slammed into a tractor.
Officials said the 71-year-old Salinas man driving the Honda died in the crash. The 38-year-old San Jose woman driving the Nissan also died as a result of the crash. The names of the victim were not immediately known.
39-year-old male Nissan passenger sustained severe injuries while two juveniles in the car also suffered injuries of unknown degree. 18-year-old male Ford driver and his 46-year-old female passenger from Folsom suffered minor injuries in the crash.
An investigation is underway.
