Palm Springs, California (June 17, 2020) – Two people were hospitalized Tuesday afternoon following a traffic accident involving an Amazon truck at an intersection in Palm Springs, authorities said.  

The two-vehicle crash, which was reported just before 2:30 p.m. June 16, happened at the intersection of East Palm Canyon Drive and Escoba Drive.  

The authorities said a white-colored sedan and an Amazon truck collided at the Palm Springs intersection.  Details of what led up to the collision were not immediately available.

A video of the accident showed that the Amazon truck sustained damage to its driver’s side door and front bumper.  The car veered off the right side of East Palm Canyon down a small hill after the collision.

Two people sustained minor injuries and were taken to a local hospital for treatment. Their names and conditions were not immediately disclosed.  

As of 3:45 p.m., all lanes were reopened.  

The accident remains under investigation.
