Aaron Hardy Killed in Ontario Car Accident on Interstate 10
Aaron Hardy among 3 Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 10 near Haven Avenue in Ontario
Ontario, California (June 17, 2020) – Aaron Hardy, 25, of Fontana, was among three people who were killed Tuesday morning in a traffic crash in Ontario.
The deadly accident took place at around 9:28 a.m. June 16 in the number 3 lane of Interstate 10 Freeway, just west of Haven Avenue.
A 2011 Volvo tractor pulling a semi-trailer was traveling eastbound on Interstate 10 at about 60 miles per hour when, for unknown reasons, it rear-ended a 2002 Chrysler Voyager van that was stopped due to traffic ahead.
The Voyager was directly behind a 2015 Volvo tractor hauling a semi-trailer, authorities said. The force of the impact pushed the Voyager crashing into the rear trailer of the 2015 Volvo.
All three occupants of the Voyager, Aaron Hardy, Rachel Miller, 27, of San Dimas, and Aubree Hardy, 5, of San Dimas, were pronounced dead at the scene.
The 2011 Volvo driver sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center for treatment.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
