Man Dies in Palm Desert Motorcycle Accident at Monterey Avenue and Shadow Ridge Road
Palm Desert, California (June 16, 2019) – A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a car in Palm Desert Saturday night, according to a local news source.
The tragic accident occurred just before 6:50 p.m. Saturday, June 15 at the intersection of Monterey Avenue and Shadow Ridge Road.
Authorities said a man was riding his motorcycle northbound on Monterey Avenue when for an unknown reason, he slammed into a Toyota SUV that was heading southbound on Monterey and making a left- hand turn onto Shadow Ridge.

The rider was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. His name has not been released pending notification of family.
The female driver of the Toyota stopped at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Neither alcohol nor drugs were suspected factors in the crash.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
