65-Year-Old Man Seriously Hurt in Pacific Beach Crash on Grand Avenue near Balboa Avenue
Pacific Beach, California (February 7, 2020) – A pedestrian was struck and seriously injured by a vehicle on Thursday evening in Pacific Beach, according to the authorities.
The incident occurred just before 7 p.m. February 6, on Grand Avenue near Balboa Avenue.
Authorities said a 65-year-old man was walking in the eastbound side of Grand Avenue when a 1998 Honda Accord struck him.
Man Hospitalized after Pacific Beach Pesestrian Crash
The victim was taken to a hospital with serious injuries including pelvic and right femur fractures.
The driver of the Honda, a 17-year-old boy, remained at the scene.
Alcohol and drugs were not suspected to be factors in the crash.
The incident is under investigation.
