Rider Killed in Otay Mesa Motorcycle Accident on Otay Valley Road near Datsun Street

Otay Mesa, California (March 19, 2021) – A motorcyclist was killed Thursday evening in a traffic accident in Otay Mesa, according to a local news source.
The deadly crash occurred at around 6:00 p.m. Thursday, March 18, on Otay Valley Road near Datsun Street.
Police said a 29-year-old man was riding his 2014 Suzuki sportbike southbound on Otay Valley Road when he lost control of the bike and slammed into a northbound 2019 Jeep Cherokee.
The motorcyclist was then hit a 2015 Kia Sportage SUV that was traveling behind the Jeep.
Authorities said the motorcyclist was pinned underneath the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been disclosed pending notification of next of kin.
The driver of the Jeep, a 30-year-old woman, and the Kia driver, a 55-year-old man, were not injured in the accident.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
