Man Killed in Fatal Oroville Car Accident on Feather River Boulevard near Virginia Avenue
Oroville, California (June 12, 2019) – A man was killed in a head-on collision that occurred on Tuesday afternoon in Oroville, according to the authorities.
The wreck happened just before 3 p.m. June 11, on Feather River Boulevard near Virginia Avenue.
CHP said a Scion SUV was heading south on Feather River Boulevard when it drifted into the northbound side and collided head-on with an oncoming Chevy pickup truck.
Man Dies in Oroville 2-Vehicle Accident
The man driving the Scion was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the Chevy was was transported to the hospital with major injuries. A passenger in the truck was hospitalized with minor injuries.
The identities of the involved parties were not released.
The crash caused a closure of Feather River Boulevard as the scene was examined and cleared.
The cause of the collision remained under investigation.
