Orange County, California (February 4, 2019) – A firefighter was among three people who were injured in a plane crash that also killed five others in Yorba Linda Sunday afternoon, according to a local news source.

The deadly crash occurred just before 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 3 in the 19000 block of Canyon Drive.

As per the report, the twin-engine Cessna 414A crashed shortly after taking off from the Fullerton Municipal Airport for unknown reasons.

Officials said the crash ignited a fire in one home. Debris, including a propeller, was scattered in the street and people’s yards following the accident.

The male pilot of the twin-engine plane and four other people in the Yorba Linda house that caught fire were killed. The deceased occupants of the home were two males and two females.

Two people were transported a hospital with burn injuries. The firefighter was also treated for minor injuries.

The names of the deceased and the injured victims have not been released.

An investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is underway.
