Ontario, CA: At Least 2 Injured in 10-Vehicle Pileup on Interstate 10
At Least 2 Hospitalized after Ontario Crash on Interstate 10 near Euclid Avenue

Ontario, California (February 20, 2021) – At least two people were hospitalized after a ten-vehicle pileup involving a big rig happened Friday night in Ontario, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The collision occurred at about 11:33 p.m. on eastbound Interstate 10 near Euclid Avenue.
As per the report, for unknown reasons, a big rig crashed into multiple vehicles, including a silver Chevrolet, a silver Ford F-150, a white Kia Soul, and a silver Scion. A total of ten vehicles were involved in the crash.
The big rig jackknifed and ended up blocking all the eastbound lanes.
Emergency crews responded to the scene to help the victims. At least two persons were injured in the crash. One of the patients was taken to Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center with moderate injuries and the other to San Antonio Regional Hospital with minor injuries and the complaint of pain to the neck and back.
An absorbant was needed to clean oil that spilled into the traffic lanes. A sweeper was also requested to clean debris that was scattered in the roadway.
A SigAlert was issued closing the eastbound lanes until 2:26 a.m. when the roadway was cleared.
CHP is investigating the accident.
