One of 2 Severely Injured in Fatal El Dorado County Crash Identified as Silun Xie
Silun Xie Hospitalized after El Dorado County Accident on Highway 50 near Pollock Pines
El Dorado County, California (February 8, 2020) – Silun Xie of Riverbank has been identified as the driver seriously hurt after El Dorado County head-on crash on Thursday evening, according to authorities.
The deadly crash happened at around 6:20 p.m. Thursday, February 6, on Highway 50 near Pollock Pines, west of Fresh Pond.
As per the CHP officials, a 2014 Ford Escape and a 2013 Toyota Sienna were involved. The Ford driver, 89-year-old Jean Macke of Fair Oaks, was heading westbound on Highway 50 while Silun Xie of Riverbank was traveling eastbound lanes in the Toyota.

Macke was transported to Marshall Hospital where she was declared dead.
Xie and a passenger in the Toyota suffered serious injuries and were transported to an area hospital.
The crash remains under investigation.
