Omer Darz Gorsi Injured in Fatal Crash on Highway 99 in Sutter County
Omer Darz Gorsi ID’d as One of Five Injured in Highway 99 Crash near Clark Road in Sutter County

Sutter County, California (July 1, 2019) – Omer Darz Gorsi, 24, of Live Oak, has been identified as one of the five people who were injured Sunday afternoon in a multi-car crash that also killed a juvenile in Sutter County.
The deadly accident happened shortly before 4:30 p.m. Sunday, June 30 on Highway 99, just south of Clark Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Gorsi was driving a 2008 Ford F-250 southbound on Highway 99 when he slammed into the rear of a 1999 Acura Integra. The man was allegedly texting when he failed to see the vehicle in front.
After the rear-end crash, the Ford continues and crashed into a Honda CRV that was in front of the Acura. The Ford then flipped and ejected Gorsi before coming to a rest on its roof.
Two other northbound cars, a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee and a 2010 Acura Integra, crashed into the wrecked vehicles.
Girl Dies in Yuba City Multi-Car Crash
The impact ejected a girl from the 1999 Acura Integra. The girl, from Wheatland, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Her identity was not immediately released.
Gorsi was taken to a hospital with moderate injuries. The driver and a second passenger in the Acura were taken to a hospital with major injuries.
Two women riding in the 2010 Acura Integra sustained minor injuries.
CHP said alcohol and drugs were not suspected to be factors in the crash.
The incident is under investigation.
