At Least 1 Seriously Injured in Oceanside Car Collision on 5 Freeway near Las Pulgas Road
Oceanside, California (June 28, 2020) – At least one person was hospitalized with serious injuries after two cars collided early Sunday morning in Oceanside, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The pileup happened at about 12:17 a.m. in the northbound lanes of 5 Freeway near Las Pulgas Road.
Authorities said a semi-truck and another vehicle were involved in the collision.
A party reporting the accident said they were trying to remove people out a vehicle, and two juveniles were laying in the roadway.
Emergency crews responding to the scene requested an air ambulance to airlift at least one person who suffered serious injuries to the hospital.
There were no other details available.
CHP is investigating the cause of the crash.
