Oakley, CA: 3 Injured in Head-On Crash on Bethel Island Road
Three Hospitalized after Oakley Car Accident on Bethel Island Road near East Cypress Road
Oakley, California (November 27, 2019) – Three people were injured Wednesday evening in a head-on crash in Oakley, according to authorities.
The accident was reported just before 6:00 p.m. on Bethel Island Road, just north of East Cypress Road.
The authorities said two vehicles collided for an unknown reason on Bethel Island Road. Both vehicles sustained major damage as a result of the crash.
Major Injury Car Accident on Bethel Island Road in Oakley
Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and extricated an elderly man who was trapped inside his vehicle. The man was then airlifted to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek with major injuries.
Two other people were transported to Sutter Delta Medical Center in Antioch with minor and moderate injuries. The names of the patients and their conditions at this time were not disclosed.
Bethel Island Road was closed between Cypress and Sandmound Road as the police investigated the crash.
