San Leandro Woman Killed in Oakland Hit-and-Run Accident on MacArthur Boulevard

Oakland, California (December 22, 2020) – A 46-year-old San Leandro woman was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver Sunday night in the Foothill Square neighborhood in Oakland, according to a local news source.
The accident occurred shortly after 8:00 p.m. Sunday, December 20 in the 10200 block of MacArthur Boulevard.
According to the authorities, a silver SUV was heading westbound on MacArthur Boulevard when it hit the woman who was walking across the street outside of a crosswalk.
Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Vehicle in Oakland
Emergency crews responded to the scene and found the woman suffering major injuries. She was declared dead at the scene. Her name was withheld pending notification of her relatives.
The involved driver did not stop to render aid to the woman and fled the scene. There was no description of the vehicle or the driver.
A reward of up to $10,000 is available for anyone who provides information leading to the arrest of the driver.
