Male Cyclist Dies in East Oakland Hit-and-Run Accident at 84th Street and Holly Street
East Oakland, California (December 22, 2020) – A bicyclist died after being struck by a hit-and-run driver Monday evening in East Oakland, according to a local news source.
The deadly accident was reported at about 6:15 p.m. Monday, December 21 at the intersection of 84th Avenue and Holly Street.
As per the report, the bicyclist was hit by a vehicle at the intersection for an undetermined reason.
Bicyclist Killed in East Oakland Hit-and-Run Collision
Emergency crews responded to the scene and found an adult man on the ground suffering from major injuries. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The involved driver did not stop to render aid to the bicycle rider and fled the scene. There was no description of the vehicle or driver.
A reward of up to $10,000 is available for anyone who provides information leading to the arrest of the driver.
