Oakland, California (April 27, 2021) – An elderly man was hit and injured by a vehicle Sunday morning in Oakland, a local news source said.

Officials responded to the crash site at about 11:40 a.m. in the area of Tenth and Jackson Streets.

The pedestrian, a 95-year-old man, was hit by a Toyota Sienna while crossing westbound in a marked crosswalk on April 25.

The Sienna, operated by a 62-year-old Oakland party, was travelling northbound on Jackson Street prior to the collision.

The Oakland man sustained critical injuries and was rushed to an area hospital for medication.
