Oakland, California (November 18, 2020) – One person was seriously injured Tuesday evening in a two-vehicle crash near the Chevron gas station in Oakland, according to a local news source.

The major injury collision was reported at about 6:26 p.m. Tuesday, November 17 on the Interstate 580 at the 35th Avenue exit.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a silver sedan collided with a red sedan in the eastbound lane of Interstate 580.

Authorities said one patient was taken to a local hospital with major injuries, including a broken leg. The name and condition of the victim were not immediately disclosed.

The No. 2 lane of the off-ramp was shut down as the investigation and clean up took place.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
