Woman Killed, Man Injured in Oakland Crash on Interstate 580 near Edwards Avenue
Oakland, California (February 14, 2021) – A woman was killed in a Sunday afternoon traffic accident that left a man injured in Oakland, authorities said.
The deadly accident occurred at about 3:10 p.m. on eastbound Interstate 580, just west of Edwards Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol, officers arrived at the scene and found a Green Plymouth Breeze with collision damage on the right shoulder of the interstate.
CHP officers believe another vehicle rear-ended the Breeze and drove away.

Sadly, a female passenger in the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.
The male driver sustained moderate injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
