60-Year-Old Man Killed in Oakland Crash on Interstate 80

Oakland, California (December 16, 2020) – A 60-year-old man was killed in a single-vehicle accident on Wednesday morning in Oakland, the CHP said.
The deadly accident happened at about 9:50 a.m. on westbound Interstate Highway 80, just east of the Bay Bridge toll plaza.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Chevrolet Silverado pickup, driven by the 60-year-old man, veered across all lanes and crashed into a concrete barrier.
Before the collision, the man may have suffered a medical emergency, such as a heart attack or stroke, the officials said.

The man was taken to Highland Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
