Woman Dies, 2 Injured in East Oakland Car Accident at 98th Avenue and MacArthur Boulevard
Oakland, California (April 27, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a Sunday morning two-vehicle crash that killed a woman and left two other people seriously injured in East Oakland.
At about 3:36 a.m., on April 26, the police responded to the crash at the intersection of 98th Avenue and MacArthur Boulevard.
According to the authorities, a Honda sedan, for unknown reasons, collided with a Nissan van at the intersection. The factors that contributed to the crash are yet to be established.
The woman, believed to be in her 20s, who was a passenger in the Honda, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identification has not been disclosed pending notification of next of kin.
The drivers of the two vehicles were hospitalized with major injuries. They were reportedly listed in critical but stable condition.
