Oakdale, California (March 28, 2021) – A motorcyclist was killed in a multi-vehicle collision on Saturday night in Oakdale.
According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, the fatal crash happened at about 8:40 p.m. on Valley Home Road near Lambuth Avenue.
A 26-year-old Oakdale man was riding a motorcycle on the roadway when he rear-ended a 2017 Ford passenger van carrying eight people.
The motorcyclist was ejected onto the roadway and was struck by a northbound 2008 Acura sedan driven by 28-year-old Nicolas T. Ramirez III.
A southbound 2012 Ford pickup driven by 33-year-old Travis W. McRae and a Honda were also involved in the crash.
One vehicle veered off the roadway and brought down a power pole, while the motorcycle burst into flames.
The motorcyclist, whose identity was not immediately disclosed, was killed in the accident.
No injuries were reported.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
