Norwalk, California (May 13, 2019) – One person was killed and another critically hurt in a car accident in Norwalk Saturday.

The crash occurred just after 2:00 p.m. May 11, in the area of Rosecrans and Funston avenues.

The accident happened when an SUV crashed into a parked truck in Norwalk for unknown reasons. Due to the impact of the collision, the SUV flipped over.

A total of four people were riding in the SUV, and two of them were evicted from the vehicle following the impact. One of the passengers was pronounced dead at the scene while the other victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment. The patient was listed to be in in a critical condition. The other two sustained significant injuries. The name both the deceased and the injured parties has not yet been released.

Meanwhile, the accident remains under an active investigation.
