La Sheila Johnson Detained for Stockton DUI Accident at Hospital Road near Interstate 5
San Joaquin County, California (May 13, 2019) – La Sheila Johnson has been identified as the elderly driver in Stockton traffic accident Sunday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol’s Stockton office.
The crash occurred at approximately 7:20 p.m. May 12, in the area of Hospital Road near Interstate.
The accident happened when a black Dodge SUV driven by Johnson drifted onto the right shoulder and struck the back of a patrol vehicle. Due to the impact, the patrol car was pushed forward into an evidence car. The reports indicated that two San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office patrol vehicles were parked on the north shoulder of Hospital Road during the occurrence of the accident.
An infant and a toddler riding in the back seat of the SUV suffered unspecified injuries following the crash. The two victims were hospitalized to an area hospital for treatment. An adult passenger in Johnson’s car sustained minor injuries in the wreck. The identity of the patients has not yet been released.
Johnson was arrested and booked into the San Joaquin County Jail and charged for suspicion felony DUI and child endangerment, authorities reported.
