Person Killed in Northridge Pedestrian Accident on North Tampa Avenue

Northridge, California (October 20, 2020) – A pedestrian died after being struck by a Metrolink train Friday afternoon in Northridge, according to authorities.
The deadly pedestrian accident happened at about 2:59 p.m. Friday, October 16, in the 9021 block of North Tampa Avenue.
Authorities said the pedestrian was struck by the Metrolink train No. 116.
The pedestrian died at the scene. The name of the victim has not been disclosed pending notification of family.
Officials affirmed that none of the passengers and crews aboard the train was hurt as a result of the crash.
The accident remains under investigation.
