Motorcyclist Seriously Injury in Norco Crash on Hamner Avenue near 3rd Street
Norco, California (June 18, 2020) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured Thursday morning in a traffic collision in Norco, according to authorities.
The accident happened at around 10:13 a.m. on Hamner Avenue near 3rd Street and involved two vehicles and a motorcycle.
Authorities said a man was riding his motorcycle northbound on Hamner Avenue, coming towards 3rd Street when, for unknown reasons, he rear-ended a small pick-up truck.
The force of the impact caused the pick-up truck to drift into the southbound lanes, where it collided with another vehicle.
Male Rider Hospitalized after Traffic Collision on Hamner Avenue near 3rd Street in Norco
Emergency crews responded to the scene and found the male rider suffering from major injuries following the crash. The motorcyclist was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The name and current condition of the patient were not immediately disclosed.
Both drivers of the pick-up truck and the other vehicle stopped at the scene and cooperated with investigators. It is undetermined whether drugs or alcohol were a factor in the accident.
Authorities closed Hamner Avenue in both directions for several hours as crews worked to clear the scene.
